Mental Fitness Coaching is about exercising your mind and brain in a proactive way that develops your psychological strength, flexibility and endurance. Your Coaches act as guides who share their knowledge about psychology, mindset and neuroscience with you, and steer you in the right direction to achieve the outcomes you want.

This approach will be useful for you if you want to:

  • improve your focus and concentration
  • enhance your productivity and performance
  • learn how to relax, better manage stress or improve your sleep
  • enhance your existing relationships or learn to develop new ones
  • overcome procrastination and avoidance
  • deepen your life satisfaction
  • have a more extensive toolkit to draw from when life throws challenges your way

Mental Fitness Coaching is not therapy - we don't delve into the past and we don't claim to heal psychological injuries. If you're carrying old wounds and traumas we recommend you seek out a psychologist, counselor or therapist in conjunction with your training - much like you would see a physiotherapist or other health professional about an injury, and not rely entirely on your personal trainer.

The pre-recorded "Home Exercise Program" is online only, but there is flexibility with real-time sessions. Most Group Coaching Sessions will run via Zoom to accommodate for remote, interstate and overseas participants. However, in the instance that all registered participants are in the same city and in-person events are permitted, we may negotiate to run some or all sessions face-to-face.

In the case of individual Personal Coaching sessions, this can be negotiated to suit your preference.

In 2022 there will be four groups that run for 10 weeks, beginning January 31, May 2, July 25 and October 10. The day and time will be determined to suit each cohort of participants, and your preferences will be accommodated.

Multiple timeslots / groups may run at the same time to give you options. If you're no longer able to make a timeslot once it has been decided, you are welcome to transfer into another group or roll your registration over to the next term / block.

In the case that you miss a session, there are two options:

  1. Our sessions will be recorded and available to view for one week, so you can "catch up" in between.
  2. If there is another group running concurrently that is not already at capacity, you may opt to join that group for a "make up session" at a different timeslot that week.

Yes, absolutely - with the exception of the Home Exercise Program which is a once-off payment of $99, you can make payments via instalments for all Mental Fitness Coaching.

You may notice that there is no upfront payment required to register for our Group Coaching or Personal Coaching services. This is because we prefer to have a conversation with you before commencement:

(a) to make sure we are a good fit and can serve your needs

(b) to discuss your circumstances and agree on a schedule of invoicing.

We'll do better than a bland refund policy - if you don't get what you wanted out of your Mental Fitness Coaching, we'll refund 100% of your money, AND offer you an individual coaching session valued at $550, which you can elect to take with a different Smith and Wellness Coach if you wish.

Not unless you're really keen for it! Our focus will be on improving psychological fitness through exercising your brain. However, perhaps your reason for boosting your mental fitness is to help you stick with a physical fitness regime - in which case we're happy to help indirectly. :)
